ABANDONED SHIPYARD
NIGHT FIGHT
Rain.
Not drizzle.
A violent Pacific storm pounds an abandoned industrial shipyard.
Shipping containers rise like black walls.
Old cranes disappear into clouds.
Floodlights burn through sheets of water.
Every steel surface shines.
Every footstep creates another reflection.
There is no traditional ring tonight.
Booker has marked a rough fighting circle directly onto the concrete.
Rainwater is already washing away the paint.
Around it, wealthy spectators gather beneath temporary canopies.
Black umbrellas.
Expensive coats.
Champagne.
Private security.
They paid more than ten thousand dollars each to be here.
But tonight even money cannot buy comfort.
Wind drives rain underneath the tents.
BOOKER walks into the center of the flooded circle.
BOOKER
Ladies and gentlemen…
Thunder rolls across the harbor.
BOOKER
Tonight there is nowhere to hide.
The crowd erupts.
Eva emerges from between two shipping containers.
VALKYRIE.
No robe.
No entrance music.
Black fighting clothes.
Bare feet against wet concrete.
Rain immediately covers her.
She walks into the circle.
Across from her waits LIRA, early 30s.
Tall.
Powerful.
Tattooed shoulders.
A former professional fighter who has developed a reputation inside the underground circuit for fights that don’t stop when they should.
Lira looks up into the rain.
Closes her eyes.
Smiles.
LIRA
Beautiful.
Eva studies her.
LIRA
You ever fight in rain?
EVA
No.
LIRA
Everything changes.
Lira looks at the water running across Eva’s face.
LIRA
You can’t tell what’s sweat.
She steps closer.
LIRA
What’s rain.
Closer.
LIRA
What’s blood.
Eva doesn’t move.
EVA
Eventually it all hits the ground.
Lira smiles.
The women separate.
Booker steps backward.
There is no bell.
He simply raises his hand—
and drops it.
Lira attacks.
⸻
PHANTOM FLEX 4K — THE FIRST IMPACT
Time almost stops.
Thousands of raindrops hang between the two women.
Not an empty space anywhere.
Every centimeter of air is alive with water.
Lira’s fist moves through the rain.
The glove creates a tunnel through thousands of suspended droplets.
Eva turns—
too late.
IMPACT.
The glove catches her cheek.
Water EXPLODES from Eva’s face.
Thousands of droplets scatter outward.
Her wet hair lifts away from her shoulders strand by strand.
A tiny mist of blood joins the rain.
For an instant it is impossible to distinguish one from the other.
Eva’s eye remains open.
Watching.
Feeling.
NORMAL SPEED.
CRACK.
Eva stumbles.
The audience erupts.
Lira comes immediately.
Knee.
Eva absorbs it against her ribs.
She folds.
FLASH—
KELLY.
A dark room.
FLASH—
electricity.
BACK TO RAIN.
Lira drives Eva backward.
Eva’s feet slide through standing water.
She catches herself.
LIRA
Come on, Valkyrie.
Eva breathes.
LIRA
Show me the woman everybody paid to see.
Lira attacks again.
Eva blocks.
Counter.
Lira slips it.
Elbow.
Eva’s head snaps sideways.
Water sprays from her face.
She doesn’t fall.
Lira laughs.
LIRA
You really don’t feel anything.
Eva slowly turns back toward her.
Blood runs from the corner of her mouth.
Rain washes it away almost immediately.
EVA
That’s what I’m afraid of.
For a moment Lira doesn’t understand.
Then Eva attacks.
⸻
THE STORM
The fight becomes furious.
Not elegant.
Not choreographed-looking.
Two exhausted women fighting for inches on slick concrete.
Eva strikes.
Lira answers.
They collide.
Separate.
Collide again.
Their feet send sheets of water across the ground.
Rain pounds their shoulders.
Eva slips.
Lira catches her—
and drives her down.
Eva hits the flooded concrete.
Water erupts around her body.
PHANTOM FLEX — EXTREME SLOW MOTION
Eva’s back touches the water.
The puddle collapses beneath her.
A perfect translucent wall rises around her body.
Every individual droplet becomes visible.
For a fraction of a second Eva appears submerged beneath an ocean suspended in midair.
Then her head strikes.
FLASH—
HELICOPTER.
Eva upside down.
Rain becomes shattered aircraft glass.
FLASH—
Yusuf reaching toward her.
YUSUF
Eva!
BACK TO SHIPYARD.
Lira is above her.
Eva’s eyes are somewhere else.
LIRA
Valkyrie!
No response.
Lira hesitates.
LIRA
Eva!
That name brings her back.
Eva looks at Lira.
Not Kelly.
Not a captor.
Not a ghost.
A woman.
A fighter.
Eva moves.
She escapes from beneath her and gets back to her feet.
Both women stand in the rain.
Breathing.
Lira realizes something.
LIRA
Where did you just go?
Eva says nothing.
LIRA
You weren’t here.
That hits Eva harder than the punch.
The same truth Nadia had begun to reveal.
The same thing Lena has been trying to tell her.
Eva wipes water from her eyes.
EVA
I’m here now.
They move toward one another.
⸻
PHANTOM FLEX — RAIN BALLET
The sound disappears.
Only a distant heartbeat remains.
Lira swings.
Eva ducks.
The fist passes centimeters above Eva’s head.
Its movement tears a path through the falling rain.
Eva rotates.
Her wet hair describes a circle around her head.
Droplets leave every strand.
Her counter begins.
Shoulder.
Arm.
Fist.
Every muscle participates.
Her fist connects.
A crown of water erupts from Lira’s face.
Lira’s cheek compresses.
Her eyes close.
A line of blood leaves her lip.
Rain intersects with it.
Red separates into hundreds of microscopic particles.
Eva watches.
And suddenly—
FLASH:
Kelly.
FLASH:
The helicopter.
FLASH:
Yusuf.
FLASH:
The pills.
FLASH:
Maya.
FLASH:
Mia.
FLASH:
Lena.
Then—
nothing.
Eva expects the familiar numbness.
But this time something is different.
Her ribs hurt.
Her mouth hurts.
Her hand hurts.
The rain is freezing.
She feels everything.
Eva almost looks surprised.
NORMAL SPEED.
Lira answers with another strike.
Eva cries out.
The crowd explodes.
Lira smiles.
LIRA
That one hurt.
Eva touches her ribs.
For perhaps the first time in the underground circuit—
Eva admits it.
EVA
Yeah.
LIRA
Good.
Eva looks at her.
LIRA
Now we’re both here.
⸻
THE FIGHT CONTINUES
They collide again.
Fist against guard.
Shoulder against shoulder.
Knee.
Counter.
Slip.
Fall.
Rise.
Neither woman dominates for long.
Mud streaks their legs.
Rain washes blood from their faces only for new blood to appear.
The audience becomes quieter.
Something about the fight has changed.
It no longer feels like entertainment.
Eva and Lira are communicating through exhaustion.
Lira attacks.
Eva blocks.
Eva counters.
Lira staggers.
Eva could rush her.
She doesn’t.
She allows Lira to recover.
LIRA
Don’t pity me.
EVA
I’m not.
LIRA
Then finish it.
Eva shakes her head.
EVA
You finish yourself.
Lira smiles.
LIRA
Now you’re learning.
Lira charges.
⸻
FINAL EXCHANGE — PHANTOM FLEX 4K
Maximum high-speed photography.
Rain appears almost stationary.
Eva and Lira move through a universe of suspended water.
Lira begins a hook.
Eva sees it.
Not because time has literally stopped—
but because Eva is completely present.
She moves underneath it.
Her shoulder turns.
Her counter begins.
Hundreds of droplets leave her arm.
Her fist passes through them.
IMPACT.
Lira’s head turns.
Water erupts.
Blood joins it.
Her expression changes—
aggression—
surprise—
acceptance.
Eva sees every fraction of it.
Lira begins falling.
Her knees touch the flooded concrete.
Water rises around them.
Then—
NORMAL SPEED.
Lira collapses.
Eva remains standing.
The crowd ERUPTS.
BOOKER
VALKYRIE!
The spectators begin chanting.
VAL-KY-RIE!
VAL-KY-RIE!
Eva doesn’t hear them.
She looks down at Lira.
Lira rolls onto her back.
Rain falls directly onto her face.
She’s laughing.
Not hysterically.
Almost peacefully.
Eva kneels.
Lira opens her eyes.
LIRA
You felt that one.
Eva nods.
EVA
All of it.
Lira smiles.
LIRA
Good.
Eva offers her hand.
Lira takes it.
Eva pulls her upright.
For several seconds the two women simply stand there.
Bruised.
Bleeding.
Exhausted.
Rain pouring over them.
No hatred.
The audience gradually becomes silent.
Lira places her forehead against Eva’s.
LIRA
Don’t become what they’re paying to see.
Eva looks past her.
At Booker.
At the VIPs.
At the money.
At people staring at her as though she belongs to them.
Something changes in Eva’s eyes.
This is the first moment she truly sees the underground business from the outside.
Booker sees the change too.
And it worries him.
⸻
INT. SHIPYARD WAREHOUSE — LATER
Eva sits alone beneath a hanging industrial light.
A towel around her shoulders.
Her hands tremble.
Lena enters.
She looks at Eva’s swollen face.
LENA
Jesus.
Eva says nothing.
Lena kneels.
LENA
What happened?
EVA
I felt it.
LENA
What?
Eva looks at her.
EVA
The fight.
LENA
You’ve fought twenty times.
EVA
No.
Eva looks down at her hands.
EVA
I mean I actually felt it.
A long silence.
EVA
Every punch.
Every breath.
The cold.
The rain.
Everything.
Lena understands.
EVA
And I didn’t disappear.
For once there is no sadness in Lena’s expression.
Only recognition.
LENA
Maybe that’s the first fight you actually won.
Eva looks through the open warehouse door.
Outside, rain continues falling over the empty fighting circle.
⸻
EXT. SHIPYARD — LATER
The spectators are gone.
Money, champagne glasses and abandoned umbrellas remain.
Eva walks alone into the rain.
She stands exactly where she fought.
Closes her eyes.
Rain touches her face.
PHANTOM FLEX 4K
A single droplet falls.
It strikes Eva’s eyelash.
Breaks apart.
Another runs slowly across the scar on her cheek.
Another touches her lip.
Eva opens her eyes.
No flashback.
No helicopter.
No Kelly.
Only rain.
For once—
water is just water.

STORY FUNCTION OF THE RAIN SCENE
The Rain Scene becomes a major transition in Eva’s psychological arc.
Earlier fights establish that Eva believes her inability to feel pain is her strength.
The Rain Scene begins destroying that belief.
Lira becomes the first fighter who makes Eva understand that feeling pain while remaining present is more powerful than escaping from it.
This prepares the audience for Queen’s later realization:
“You’re not fearless. You’re absent.”
And it makes Eva’s final decision to remain psychologically present during the Queen fight feel earned rather than sudden.
Visually, the Rain Scene becomes one of the signature sequences of the movie: extreme Phantom Flex 4K imagery of rain, skin, hair, breath, water and impact contrasted with 24 fps real-time violence.
The rain also creates a visual metaphor for Eva’s transformation:
At first, rain and blood become indistinguishable.
By the end—
water is just water.A Section Title
